Guernsey FC will face two new opponents and be re-aquainted with some old opponents after the Bostik League announced which teams would be placed in which division in its restructure.

There will now be 22 teams in the Bostik Premier Division - Walton Casuals, who won promotion via the play-offs, have been moved to the Evo-Stik League - and now three divisions instead of two at step 4 - Bostik North, Bostik South Central and Bostik South East - with 20 teams in each.

This means there are now 38 league games, eight less than the 46 of recent years and so will ease the pressure slightly on GFC's travel costs, and there are less scheduled midweek away trips. The Green Lions have been placed in Bostik South East, which consists mainly of teams from Kent and Sussex.

Our two new opponents are West Sussex side Haywards Heath Town, who were promoted to Step 4 after winning the Southern Combination Premier, and Southern Counties East League winners Sevenoaks Town. We look forward to welcoming both to Footes Lane in 2018-19.

We are also rejoined by Whitstable Town, who come back up as runners-up in the Southern Counties East League, and Three Bridges, who were promoted in second place in the Southern Combination Premier. Both teams were relegated from our division in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

The full 20-team list to play in Bostik South East in 2018-19 are as follows: Ashford United, Cray Wanderers, East Grinstead Town, Faversham Town, Greenwich Borough, Guernsey, Hastings United, Haywards Heath Town, Herne Bay, Horsham, Hythe Town, Phoenix Sports, Ramsgate, Sevenoaks Town, Sittingbourne, Thamesmead Town, Three Bridges, VCD Athletic, Whitstable Town, Whyteleafe.

We say goodbye for now to South Park and Molesey, who go into Bostik South Central along with some of our old Combined Counties opponents such as Egham Town, Bedfont Sports and Westfield. Tooting & Mitcham United also go into that division after relegation from the Bostik Premier.

The season will kick-off on Saturday 11th August. The fixtures will be announced in July.
