It could be make or break for Guernsey as they face Greenwich Borough in a Bostik South East classic six pointer at Footes Lane on Sunday.
The two sides are level on points, with the Green Lions having played a game less and having a superior goal difference that is keeping them off the bottom.
Without a win in 11 games, Tony Vance side are also looking to narrow the gap to Faversham Town, who beat Three Bridges on Saturday. They are yet to record a victory over Greenwich in five previous meetings, so this weekend would be the perfect time to put an end to that record.
Tony Vance has opted not to name a squad in advance, instead instructing all the club's players to report for duty ahead of kick-off and will name his 16 to them privately before the teamsheets are handed in. It also gives him a chance to assess the fitness of Thomas Dodds, Will Fazakerley and Charlton Gauvain, who all played key roles as Guernsey beat Jersey 4-3 at Springfield to once again defend the U21 Muratti.
Borough got themselves level on points with GFC thanks to earning a 1-1 draw with league leaders and champions elect Cray Wanderers last Sunday, a result that meant Cray would have to wait another weekend for the title, which they secured by beating Ashford United on Saturday afternoon.
The South London side have also beaten Sittingbourne and East Grinstead Town in their last six games to give themselves a chance.
The club would like to see Footes Lane packed out and so are offering standing tickets for just £1 and free entry to U16s for this crucial clash.
Be loud. Be proud. Be Guernsey.
